Actress Shabana Azmi is reportedly being considered to play a part in Kathryn Bigelow’s new film about Osama Bin Laden. The director of the critically acclaimed film The Hurt Locker is currently in Chandigarh shooting for the film, as she wasn’t allowed to shoot in Pakistan itself.

And according to a source, Bigelow has got her American cast members complete, but she is yet to take a final call on the actors who will be playing Pakistani characters in her Osama film. Apparently her efforts to cast Pakistani actors for the film failed and she has decided to cast Indian actors instead.

But when Shabana Azmi was contacted to confirm or deny the news, she just said: “It’s too early to talk about it.” I guess we will have to wait a little bit longer for an official announcement.

Azmi is currently busy working on the following two projects, Mira Nair’s The Reluctant Fundamentalist and Deepa Mehta’s Midnight’s Children.
