Before Jab Tak Hai Jaan has even released, Shah Rukh Khan has already begun filming for his next project, titled Chennai Express. Filming began last Thursday, and it will see Shah Rukh being paired again with actress Deepika Padukone, whom he shared screen space with in Om Shanti Om.
The film is apparently a romantic thriller and it is being directed by Rohit Shetty, who is famous for directing the Golmaal franchise, as well as the recent films Singham and Bol Bachchan. It is being co-produced by Shah Rukh’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment and UTV Motion Pictures. A key figure associated with the project reported the following to a leading Indian newspaper: “On day one, the shoot revolved around SRK and a few other cast members. The schedule will go on for some time.” We will have to wait and see how this film will turn out and whether or not Shah Rukh and Deepika will be able to create pure magic.
Chennai Express will release next year, so be prepared to buckle up for an exciting cinematic ride!
