New music alert! Shekhar Ravjiani, Karan Kanchan, and KASYAP have joined voices for a magical reimagination of the beautiful Bollywood romantic song “Zehnaseeb” from Hasee Toh Phasee. Celebrating ten years of the song and film, this version of ‘Zehnaseeb’ introduces an entirely new soundscape while retaining the essence of the original.
India’s leading music composer and singer, Shekhar Ravjiani, shared his feelings about the re-imagined track, saying, “Zehnaseeb is a song that is extremely close to my heart. The song was created originally through some great energies and a beautiful creative process. It’s a song that has over the years connected deeply with listeners all over the world. Zehnaseeb is not just a song, it is a nostalgic journey for me filled with warmth and a lot of happy memories. I still get goosebumps when I listen to and perform the original composition even today after nearly a decade. I have worked with Karan and KASYAP in the past, and when I was told that they were my collaborators, I was very confident that they would be the right fit for this new version of Zehnaseeb. They are supremely talented and masters of their respective crafts. A lot of thought, love, and care has been poured into the new rendition of this beautiful version, and I believe our collective passion and dedication will shine through breathing new life into this everlasting song.”
Music producer Karan Kanchan shared his thoughts: “When I heard the original song years ago, I instantly fell in love with it. Zehnaseeb is a feeling that is felt and resonated by each one of us somewhere, which is why I wanted to work on the song when the opportunity arose. Working with Shekhar sir and KASYAP on this project was a delight. It was all about fun, music, warmth, and memories all along. I am sure the song will take the listeners through an emotional roller coaster and reminisce the memories created by the original composition. It’s a very personal song to me and many others like me- Very excited to hear their thoughts!”
