Filmmaker Subhash Ghai is all set to announce his next directorial venture on October 24, which marks the 34th anniversary of his production banner, Mukta Arts. He has roped in Ismail Darbar and Salim-Suleiman to compose the music for the film along with Irshad Kamil as the lyricist.
Speaking about his association with Ismail Darbar, who hasn’t signed a film in the last four years, Ghai says, “The film industry might forget a talent if they don’t work for a while, but all it takes is one hit song. I want soulful music, and I feel Ismail can create that. I’ve also signed Salim-Sulaiman to bring in some contemporary style.”
The yet-to-be-titled film is a romantic drama with a musical delight. Says Subhash Ghai, “It is the journey of a young woman from the mountains to a city, so the music must reflect the various phases in her life.”
