Rumour has it that Subhash Ghai will be directing Salman Khan again next year. Subhash Ghai is remembered fondly for his mega blockbusters from the 80s and 90s, which included classics like Dharma, Ram-Lakhan, Saudagar and Khal-Nayak amongst many others.

Sadly he has not had a hit film in over a decade despite working with some of the best and rising talents of the industry: Hrithik Roshan in Yaadein, Vivek Oberoi in Kisna and more recently Salman Khan in Yuvvraaj. What was once an extremely successful career, is currently not.

If rumours are to be believed, Ghai no longer has to despair as Salman Khan may be about to come to his rescue and hopefully bring with him is ‘crore’ pumping super-hit biceps. The rumoured film is planned to start in 2013 and Ghai is currently said to be working on the script. It is has been reported that this time round Ghai will not be repeating his mistakes from Yuvraaj by casting Salman Khan in another romantic-musical.

However, throwing caution to the wind, Ghai is also busy working his current directorial venture, as is Salman Khan who is busy wrapping up brother Arbaaz Khan’s Dabaang 2 and only has director Shrish Kunder’s Kick confirmed so far for 2013. Therefore, we will have to wait to see exactly what transpires and if Ghai can bounce back from his decade long slump?
