Bhushan Kumar’s Roy, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal, has created quite a stir among the fans. First the Roy trailer, which was trending on social media, received a million views within 12 hours of its release, followed by the track, ‘Sooraj Dooba Hai’. The song is touted to be the party anthem of the year and is the perfect sun-downer track. An entire set was recreated by the makers to give it an edgy, live concert feel.
The song has been shot on a grand scale, with audiences getting to see Arjun Rampal as a DJ and Jacqueline dancing to his playlist. The song has been composed by Amaal Malik and sung by Arijit Singh and Aditi Singh Sharma. Bhushan Kumar says, “The song is a sundown number and Vicky (director Vikramjit Singh) wanted something that looked like the Sunburn Set. We recreated the entire set in Mumbai and the result we see on screen is unbelievable. Ahmed Khan who has choreographed the song which, along with the way Vicky and the DOP Himman have shot the video, looks fantabulous. The song has become a party number and is getting a great response.
Roy, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez, releases on 13th February, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar and Freeway Pictures, distributed in the UK by Filmonix.
