After ‘Assay Passay’ and ‘Mangda Wapis Kyun’, the soulful, genre-blending artist Talwiinder unveiled the world of ‘Paiinted Feeliings’ in its entirety.
Speaking about the album and the experience, Talwiinder shared, “With Paiinted Feeliings, I wanted to create something people could connect with on a personal level, beyond just listening to the music. Each track carries its own story and emotion, and I hope listeners find pieces of their own lives in the songs, even years from now. The listening experience was an opportunity to bring that vision to life by bringing music and art together and giving fans a chance to engage with the EP beyond the tracks. Seeing artists interpret Paiinted Feeliings through their murals was particularly special, as each brought their own feelings and perspective to the project. Ultimately, I want to create music that people can grow with, discover new meanings in, and return to over time. For me, it has always been about making something that lasts beyond the hype.”
Completing the four-track EP with two new releases, ‘Geet’ and ‘Jind Meri’, the singer-songwriter brings together four distinct stories exploring different shades of love, longing and emotion.
Accompanying the release, the music video for ‘Geet’ is also out now, featuring Talwiinder in a striking cowboy look, adding a distinct visual dimension to the track.
At the heart of Paiinted Feeliings are two tracks that explore different sides of love and creativity. ‘Geet’ was born out of a conversation about writer’s block, when a fellow musician asked Talwiinder how to find inspiration when words refuse to flow. Rather than searching for an answer, he turned the feeling itself into a song. As he explains, “I don’t really believe in writer’s block. A friend was talking about it, so I wrote a song about it. Sometimes, not knowing what to write about can be the starting point itself.” The track captures the idea that inspiration can come from the simplest moments, even when you don’t know where to begin.
‘Jind Meri’, on the other hand, explores the pain of unrequited love through a woman’s perspective, following someone who continues to hold on to feelings that go unnoticed. Caught between longing and the need to move on, she finds herself drawn back to someone who may never feel the same way. The track came together spontaneously, with Talwiinder creating it entirely from scratch at a Chandigarh studio the day after his Ludhiana show during the 2025 Halloween Tour. Through its emotional storytelling, the song captures the struggle of letting go when the heart isn’t ready to move on.
To mark the EP’s completion, Talwiinder hosted an exclusive ‘Listening and Art Experience’, an intimate evening of art, music and live performances that brought the emotions and stories to life beyond the tracks themselves.
The evening unfolded in Mumbai, bringing together music and art in celebration of Paiinted Feeliings. Rooted in Talwiinder’s belief that emotions can be expressed in different forms, the experience explored how feelings that find a voice through music can also take shape through art. 50+ artists came together to create murals and showcase their own interpretations of Paiinted Feeliings on canvases, each bringing a unique perspective to the album. The evening also witnessed Talwiinder own the stage with a live performance, joined by NDS and Kidjaywest, bringing the EP to life for fans. It was a celebration of music, art and the creative community that continues to connect with Talwiinder’s world.
The journey of Paiinted Feeliings began with ‘Assay Passay’, about how people shape us, followed by ‘Mangda Wapis Kyun’ featuring Kidjaywest, which explores the complexities of second chances. The final tracks, ‘Geet’ and ‘Jind Meri’, delve into unspoken emotions and unrequited love.
Together, the four tracks explore relationships, longing and personal experiences, leaving listeners room to find their own meaning in the music. Known for his distinctive ambient-pop sound and emotive storytelling, Talwiinder brings Paiinted Feeliings full circle with an EP that connects his musical world with the experiences of those who listen to it.
