Swatantrya Veer Savarkar has been the centre of discussions in the country ever sinceI was first announced. Written directed and starring Randeep Hood, the film releases on March 22nd. The film. Is the story of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’s life, his contributions, and the hidden facts of the Indian Armed struggle for Independence.

When the date announcement teaser released in Ja uary, one of the things that stood out was the inteuguing rap that captured everyone’s attention. The Hindi-Marathi version ‘Savarkar’ instantly became viral and now the full song “The Savarkar Rage” dropped today. The Rap in Marathi and Hindi has been written, composed, and sung by Urban Street Artist Sambata. The song has been mixed and mastered by Hruthic Kailas Katke (khakiee) and the beat was produced by Hruthic Kailas Katke (khakiee). The rap ends with proclaiming “Savarkar laya Kranti Ka Daur (Armed Revolution)”

Speaking about the song Randeep Hooda said, “The Savarkar Rage is the film’s mood. If the armed revolution had to happen today and they had access to all the music available today they would have chosen rap to get their revolutionary ideas across.”

Hooda further adds, “I listened to rap artists from India and abroad and locked Sambata out of hundreds of rappers. I briefed Sambata about the film and he understood the angst of Savarkar beautifully. And he still has that raw rage in his voice. He wrote the lyrics that took my breath away.”

Sambata added, “I penned each verse with the fervour of my soul, weaving Savarkar’s legacy into every rhyme. Through my voice, his passion speaks, resonating with the heartbeat of a nation yearning for freedom.”

Randeep Hooda’s debut directorial “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar” is set to hit a day before the national martyr’s day as a perfect homage to all the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence. Produced by Zee Studios, Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, Randeep Yogesh Rahar and Randeep Hooda. Co-produced by Roopa Pandit, Sam Khan, Anwar Ali, Panchali Chakraborty. Starring Randeep Hooda, Ankita Lokhande, and Amit Sial is slated to release on 22nd March 2024 in two languages – Hindi and Marathi.
