08. Lakme Fashion Week
Being the Bollywood fashion event of the year, the LIFW is one exciting event and the star appearances makes things much more spicy. This year quite a few Bollywood stars took over the ramp to strut their stuff. At the start of the year, Bollywood diva, Sushmita Sen walked the ramp with her adorable daughter, Renee, for designer Neeta Lulla. Perizaad Zobarin, Minisha Lamba and Geeta Basra walked the ramp for Vikram Padnis. Director and TV personality, Karan Johar did his first ramp show for designer Nandita Mahtani.
The Lakme Spring/Summer Fashion towards the end of the year began with Konkona Sen Sharma dazzling her way through the ramp as she walked for desinger Arshiya Fakih. Newcomer, Neil Nitin Mukesh along with Kunal Kapoor walked for designer Kunal Rawal. Unquestionably, the hottest show was conducted by designer Narendar Kumar as he roped in the sizzling star couple, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. Individually, the two stars set the ramp on fire as their better half sat front row to show full support. The fashion week was also the coming out event for Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor as Bollywood’s newest star couple.
