Directed by the critically acclaimed Nagesh Kukunoor of Iqbal and Dor fame, in 8 X 10 Tasveer Akshay Kumar is joined on screen by veteran actress, Sharmila Tagore and the understated Ayesha Takia. 8 X 10 Tasveer, is an intense narrative about a young man named ‘Jai’, played by Bollywood icon Akshay, who has an extraordinary ability to delve into the past of dead people by touching an object belonging to them. His family, friends and even he at times is skeptical of this power but Jai manages to eke out a living in this land so steeped in belief of the supernatural.
Talking about his exciting new role Akshay says, “8 X 10 Tasveer is a different film for me. It has less action and no comedy. I wanted to do something I had never tried. The most challenging task was to work with Nagesh Kukunoor. I always wanted to give extra to a shot and was then stopped by Nagesh to give only little. I am glad that I followed him as I am very happy with the end result and the turned out product.”
