After his much talked about break-up with Amisha Patel, Vikram Bhatt is currently hitting the headlines for his forthcoming film, 1920. 1920 is a period film, which recreates the look of colonial India; the film will star newcomers Rajnish Duggal and Adah Sharma. Rajnish Duggal, a model who has been seen in several music videos, plays the lead actor in this supernatural flick wherein he will star opposite Adah. The film also stars Anjorie Alagh of Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi fame, which was also a Vikram Bhatt film. The director, who says he is a workaholic, claims that he prefers to work with youngsters and newcomers rather than big superstars because the bigger stars are usually busy. He also thinks most of these big stars are media-made, that they have done nothing in their career to be talked about.

Talking about the film, he confirms that there will be supernatural element in this romantic period film, “Owing to its surprise elements 1920 is bound to be a thoroughly gripping film that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The mist will have the audience encapsulated in an atmosphere of doubt and suspense.”

Asked about his split with Amisha, he said he feels really sad that things did not work out any longer but reveals that he would love to work with her if there is a worthwhile project as he is fond of her as an actress.

Speaking of Amisha, our Amy baby is on a career high these days. She has some good projects lined-up such as the yet to be titled Kunal Kohli film, Neeraj Vora’s Do Lucky and Ajay Chandok’s Chatur Singh Two Star wherein she will be paired opposite Sanjay Dutt. The actress said that she’s on a ‘comic’ roll this year as all her releases are comedy flicks. She also revealed that the revamped Amisha is all set to surprise everyone in Kunal’s untitled project in which she will be paired opposite Saif Ali Khan.

Seems like Mr. Bhatt and Miss Patel are on a roll this year! Let’s wait and watch what they have in store for us!
