Vivek Oberoi, one of the best actors in the Hindi film Industry is going through a career resurgence and looks forward to the roles that will come his way. He is known for his attention to detail and his total immersion into his roles. His characters over the last 5 years have been varied and each one original. He says, “I have been told I am a quiet rebel, I do have rebellion streak. I tend to do things my way. I just believe do what your heart says. Follow your heart. Don’t do what everybody is doing. We are here to find our own path, our own tendency and the best way is to follow your own heart, and there is no other way.”

Recently he made a splash as Kesu Firangi in Omkara, but his return to the spotlight was his critically acclaimed amazing performance as Maya Dolas in Shootout at Lokhandwala. Both of those roles were dramatic but he is looking to play a romantic lead again one day.

“I have done romantic roles. I did Saathiya, which was big success, and I have been accepted in love stories, comic films and stuff like that. But as an actor we always look for a different challenge. Right now I am very excited about doing a love story. I am waiting for a really good script. I am feeling like doing a nice, romantic love story but if a good script comes my way,” he said.

Next up for the star is Mission Istanbul, which costars Bobby Deol, Abhishek Bachchan and Tusshar Kapoor and is directed by Apoorva Lakia.
