After being in the can for so long (2 years to be precise), Aashayein is finally set to see the daylight. Starring John Abraham, Sonia Sehgal, Prateeksha Lonkar among others, this Nagesh Kukunoor product has a music album consisting of 13 tracks including 5 remixes. Nagesh has repeated Salim-Sulaiman in this movie as well; they have composed for almost all his previous movies like Iqbal, Dor, etc. The album also boasts of two more music directors: Pritam and Shiraz Uppal. The album kick starts with the track Mera Jeena Hai Kya composed by Pritam and sung by his now favorite Neeraj Sridhar. A romantic number, the song starts off with a slow melody and then picks up the pace turning into a rock-beat kind of number. The beautiful lyrics by Sameer, which bring out the feelings of the arrival of love in one’s life. Already gaining popularity among the audience, this is a pretty good number which will definitely stay with you after you listen to the entire album.
