In a second stint post their 2009 flick, Delhi 6, Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor come together once again under the direction of Abbas-Mustan (of Race fame). The movie which is confirmed as the official remake of Hollywood blockbuster Italian Job is titled Players and filming is underway in Panjim, Goa. The film also stars Bipasha Basu, Bobby Deol, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sikandar Kher and Omi Vaidya.
Sharing their excitement with the fans, Sonam and Abhishek updated their fans on twitter. Abhishek wrote: “It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day and it’s a new film!!! 1st day of shoot. Ok, I think I’ll go faint now!! NERVOUS”, whilse Sonam echoing her co-stars sentiments also tweeted, “Dancing with @juniorbachchan both of us are trying to make our long limbs shake gracefully.”
Further for the thriller, leading ladies Sonam and Bipasha will be joining the men in doing high energy actions sequences directed by leading action director Allan Amin. While Bipasha has had a share of action in Race, it will be the first for the Sonam who has more romantic flicks to her credit.
The film produced by Studio 18 is expected to shoot in Russia and New Zealand.
