Probably the most talked about song right now is Katrina’s item-numberish song ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ from Tees Mar Khan. Though comparisons with Dabanng’s Munni continue, there’s no doubt that this song has managed to create an impact on the viewers. And it’s definitely not without hardwork from Katrina’s side.

A first for this beauty, this raunchy number had a great amount of effort put in by both Katrina Kaif and director Farah Khan. Not only did Katrina work out regularly to tone her body, she also went through numerous DVD’s to study the dancing style of yesteryears actresses. “I can never do that even if I wanted to but just to see the way Madhuriji (Dixit) dances and the joy she felt while dancing… how focused and involved she was,” she explained. And though she has already done a ‘Touch Me Touch Me’ (Race), she believes that Sheila…is the most raunchiest song she’s ever done albeit with attitude, style and class. And two people who are definitely impressed by her dedication are Farah and Shirish Kunder. According to Farah, Katrina had fun and absolutely no inhibitions while shooting the song. “I have never seen Katrina looking both hot and sensuous at the same time,” she said. The song, which was shot over a span of five days with numerous costumes n sets, involved a sequence with Kaif in a satin bed sheet-on a ten foot wide rotating bed – surrounded by men, but she exhibited no awkwardness at all. Also, Farah pointed out in a recent Koffee with Karan episode that this was one number shot to depict Katrina as an item girl but still shot aesthetically with a classy Broadway feel to it. That’s not all. Despite having a hectic shooting schedule, Katrina would still go the gym at 11.30 to workout. Adds Shirish, “This is good dedication shown by someone who could have opted to work on multiple films in the interim period, if she desired, but she didn’t.”

Looks like the hot number has gained the actress many a new fan!
