Madhur Bhandarkar is one angry man. Making ‘reality’ based movies often translates to blatant display or usage of graphic language which may not go down well with the majority audience, most particularly the Censor Board. Madhur has already had quite a few run-ins with the censor committee – his last film Jail had a Neil Nitin Mukesh full monty scene chopped off – and he seems to have rubbed them off the wrong way with his upcoming film as well.
Ajay Devgn-Omi Vaidya-Emraan Hasmi starrer Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji’s trailer has run into trouble because of the usage of two words : sex and pornography. The scenes in question are one in which Omi’s character says,”Shaadi ke pehle sex? Never! I hate!” and the one where Shruti Hasan replies to Emraan’s question (What are your hobbies) by saying,” I like watching pornography very much.” Bhandarkar tried to reason out with them but in vain. However learning from his past experiences, he decided it would be better to agree with the Board and keep them happy. He added ruefully, “I did the needful. I had no choice, did I?”
